Methadone is basically used as a medicine for relieving pain with its effects similar to that of morphine’s. Other methadone side effects include drowsiness, nausea, constipation, sweating, vomiting, blurred vision, loss of appetite, swelling, sleeplessness, loss of sexual desire and irregular menstrual periods.

Avoid using Methadone if you are allergic to narcotic type medicines. People suffering from liver and kidney ailments, epilepsy, low blood pressure, mental disorders, Addison’s disease should stay away from using Methadone as they are likely to suffer more from the Methadone side effects. It is advisable to pay a visit to the doctor for more information on the effects and ways to lessen their intensity.
