The drug is effective on the patients with symptoms ranging from mild to severe mental depressions and other attacks involving the nerve center of the brain. These are at times quite traumatic and painful and the patient must be under the constant watch by the doctor. In many cases the patient is hospitalized to avoid further trauma.

The effect of the drug in reducing the symptoms and severe cases has been of great note of interest in the medical field. The drug is seen to be quite safe unlike other similar drugs if the patient takes an overdose of the same. Mirtazapine side effects hardly show any adverse effects on heart too and only few of the rarest cases have ended up as fatal.

They feel that at times they are in an embarrassing position or have been humiliated by others without any rational justification. Some are obsessed with hidden thoughts that would in all likelihood make them live in fear of being robbed, worry about repeated checking and harboring crude thoughts about sexual violence or extreme religious thoughts and general violence.
Further, there are people who undergo a significant change in their behavior and they like the ones above are treated with mirtazapine tablets. Some of the patients who have suffered such attacks of depression have been reported to be suffering from tendencies to inflict injuries on the self or the others and even harboring threat of death. Many others however have simple depression depending upon the season such as winter blues, summer blues and the like. In all such cases the doctor suggests hospitalization or asks the victim to take a dose of mirtazapine.
What are the Mirtazapine Side Effects
In a previous post, I have discussed the msg side effects. In this case however, there are a few side effects while administering the dose of the medication. The doses are usually taken once every day when the patient goes to sleep. The medicine can be taken before or after food and the tablet is such that when it is placed on the tongue it will immediately dissolve with saliva.
Although quite effective the medication will bring in the full benefit only after a few weeks and in some cases it may be even longer than that. The common side effects are feeling dizzy, sleepiness, vision becoming blurred, constipation and bizarre dreams and pain in the joints, muscular pain or pain in the back.
The reason for gaining weight in many cases is due to the increased appetite in patients who regularly take mirtazapine. Among the lesser side effects is restlessness, feeling aggressive or being easily irritable, losing interest in activities generally enjoyed by others and allergy to the medication itself.
There have been reports of a few rare types of side effects seen in patients when they were taking mirtazapine regularly. These are however not common and not a conclusive evidence of being mirtazapine side effects. Otherwise, the medication is relatively safer than other similar medications.
